The Technology Faculty consists of four departments: Food Technology, Textiles Technology, Resistant Materials Technology and Graphics Products.

We aim to provide news, links to related sites, information about the various departments and their  examination courses.  We are starting to build an exhibition page to show students' work and a links page to useful related sites.  You can view these by clicking the buttons on the left.

The photograph on the right shows the land yacht made this year by A-Level student Simon Parsons.

Food Technology

Congratulations to all the food technology students who sat their GCSE and A-levels this summer, with all the students doing very well, and were finally able to show that all their hard work was worth it in the end. In food technology special congratulations go to Zoe Leach, Kirsty Hare, Jordan Stephens, Amy Wilson, Emma Down, Becky Barratt and Sophie Cobbledick all of which gained the top A* grade. Not to be out done the A2 students Freddie White and   Natasha Manning also need to be congratulated for their excellent results too.

The Food department will soon be turning its attention to this years heat of Future Chef whose past winners have gone on to bigger and better things. Winning local and then national finals on the way and will keep you informed as we go through the rounds.

We are also proposing to run a trip this year to the good food show to see Ainsley Harriet. This trip will I hope be on Saturday 1 December. More information will follow soon.

Graphic Products

The next annual trip to Florence, Italy for the Sixth Form students will take place in February, leaving just before half term enjoying five days in Italy and returning during the half term.

Letters regarding this trip will be available to the students early October.  It is a fantastic trip to the gorgeous city of Florence where students get to soak up the art, architecture and experience the Italian food and way of life.

The trip will be offered firstly to any Sixth Form student who is studying Design and Technology or Art, and then it will be on a first come first served basis for all other Sixth Form students.
