| In the Sixth Form
Centre
students are able to select from an
extensive range of courses leading to academic and vocationally orientated
qualifications. Students are able to build on courses started in Key Stage 4
so that many can achieve early qualifications at AS level and enjoy a
broader range of study in Years 12 and 13. This increased flexibility helps
our students to achieve additional UCAS points for University Entrance.

The Sixth Form Centre
also provides a full range of vocationally orientated courses including a
very successful Work Link' programme which provides career specific work
experience and nationally recognised qualifications. Holyrood offers the
advantages of a local Sixth Form Centre with high levels of personal tuition
and support. Our students are not lost in the crowd, they are known to the
teaching staff as individuals which enables teachers to plan the most
appropriate learning programmes for each student. |

In addition
to the full range of courses, all students take part in enrichment
activities often involving working with students from other schools and
colleges. There is an extensive selection of educational visits both in this
country and abroad, including the opportunity to undertake an International
Work Experience in France or Germany. |
